Comments: This 6 minute video describes the endoscopic repair of a complete fibrous obstruction of the esophagus acquired during the treatment of esophagus cancer with radiation and chemotherapy. The patient was not able to swallow his own saliva. At the conclusion of the treatment, which included recreation of a channel through the esophagus and placement of a stent using a dual endoscopic approach, the patient was able to tolerate a soft diet.
